Project Description:
Lake Central School Corporation Parking Lot Restriping Project
Introduction
Clear and visible parking lot striping is essential for any institution, especially for schools. With over 9,200 students, Lake Central School Corporation requires precise markings to ensure safety, direct traffic, and minimize the risk of accidents. Proper striping helps guide cars and pedestrians, delineates drop-off and pick-up zones, and establishes designated areas for buses, staff, and visitors. For busy school campuses, the maintenance of these markings is vital for smooth daily operations.
Challenges
The sheer scale of the project presented a challenge, with ten school campuses, including Lake Central High School, needing updated markings across their parking lots. The high school also has a large practice football field off one of its lots. There was a substantial surface area to cover and various lines and symbols for sports and parking. Ensuring quality and consistency across all locations required careful coordination.
Solutions
Site Services Inc. deployed an experienced striping crew to tackle the project. Using over 630 gallons of high-quality, durable paint, the team efficiently re-striped each campus, focusing on creating highly visible, long-lasting lines and symbols. The project was completed with minimal disruption to the school’s operations.
Outcomes
The project successfully enhanced the safety and functionality of each parking lot across all ten schools. The fresh, high-visibility striping now guides vehicles and pedestrians more effectively, improving traffic flow, minimizing the risk of accidents, and ensuring a safer environment for Lake Central School Corporation’s students, staff, and visitors.
