Once
the drainage design has been chosen and the routes of
the lines determined, areas are excavated and concrete
basins and PVC pipes are installed to the proper slopes
and elevations. The areas are then backfilled using sand
and stone then compacted thoroughly. The areas that ran
thru pavement will be sawcut straight and patched with
asphalt to match the existing pavement.
Repair
The
pavement surrounding the specified drain(s) will be sawcut
and removed. The frame, grate and interior of the basin
will be inspected for leaks and broken connections. The
interior cracks and defects will be repaired using non-shrink
cementitious grout. The frame and grate will be adjusted
to the proper elevation or replaced with a frame that
permits proper adjustment. The surrounding asphalt pavement
will then be replaced as detailed under the full depth
patching specification. Note: In the event that the interior
inspection reveals pipe breaks on either the inlet or
outlet lines we will immediately notify you of the results
of our inspection. As quickly as possible we will advise
you as to the probable cost to excavate and repair or
replace the broken line. Work will proceed on time and
materials basis only on your approval.
